This is my story, I guess. Really I’m just bored and I have nothing better to write about. I’m not going to finish it now, but maybe I will later.

All I can see is white. White walls, white floors, white sheets, white scrubs. My mother’s face is scared and confused—trying to look strong, but failing. A nurse directs me to a scale to measure my weight—I smile when I see it’s at a perfect 98lbs. The doctor comes in and asks me a series of standard questions that, for whatever reason, enrage me. I can’t answer her, so she leaves. Another doctor comes and hooks me up to an IV. Immediately, it bothers me, pricking my skin and itching like crazy. I ask if I can have it out, but they say no. That only makes it bother me more. They ask me if I’m hungry and I say yes, my stomach growling. Mom has to go home and sleep. It’s 11:00 pm and she has work in the morning. I kiss her goodbye and the nurse brings in a tray of food for me. It’s all pre-packaged hospital food, and I pick at it, longing for a cheeseburger and fries. I don’t get a wink of sleep that night because the IV in my arm twists uncomfortably when I lay down. Instead, I finish a book I had been working on. By the time 3:00am rolls around, I have nothing to do but sit and stare at the security guard outside my room. Sometimes he stares back, a look of concern in his eyes. But then a new security guard comes in to change shifts, and he doesn’t so much as look at me. I cry periodically throughout the night—sometimes because I’m sad, sometimes because I’m tired, but mostly because the needle in my arm is making me anxious. I ask again if I can have it out, and again they say no. It’s unfair. 6:00am rolls by and my step dad is there to see me. Finally, with his prodding, they take the needle out of my arm. I feel relieved. The call comes at 7:00am that an ambulance is on its way for me. I’m going to Berkley. We wait for what seems like forever, and the ambulance finally arrives around 8:30am. The only thing I’m thinking is that I feel too comfortable, strapped into a bed while they roll me down the hall and into the ambulance. The guy sitting in the back of the ambulance makes small talk with me—he’s nice, and not at all pitying. I like that. When I finally make it to Berkley, it’s just after 12:00pm. The other kids in the hospital are all at school, so I sit by myself for the next hour, being processed and given a room. When all the other kids come in, they’re nice to me and smile, introducing themselves. I feel a little less miserable. The next hour is quiet time, where we have to stay in our rooms and work on something—a list, homework, coping skills, etc…—and I’m quickly lost on what to do. I hadn’t really been alone the past 24 hours, and the weight of it all settled heavily on me. I cried.

You are not a slut/whore because you choose to engage in sex/sexual activity. You are not a prude or a frigid bitch or unmanly if you don’t. It’s your body therefore it’s your decision. If it’s consensual and nothing illegal is taking place, it is not your business to judge others.
